WENDY ETTINGER is an award-winning producer of documentary and feature films. Wendy co-founded Chicken & Egg Pictures with Julie Parker Benello and Judith Helfand in 2005 to fund and mentor women documentary filmmakers whose artful and innovative storytelling catalyze social change. Since its inception 10 years ago C&E has awarded over 3.7 million dollars in grants, to 170 films with over 5200 hrs of mentorship. Films executive produced by Chicken & Egg include Brooklyn Castle, which premiered at SXSW and was nominated for an Emmy in 2014. The filmmakers and films supported by Chicken & Egg Pictures have won major awards, pushed creative and social boundaries, and worked hand in hand with on-the-ground movements to effect tangible change. In 2013, Wendy co-founded Gamechanger Films in 2013 with Julie Parker Benello, Dan Cogan, and Geralyn Dreyfuss. Gamechanger provides equity funding for narrative feature films directed by women in order to interrupt the glaring gender disparity in Hollywood. Their first film Land Ho, premiered at Sundance, was picked up by Sony Classics and most recently won the John Cassavetes award at the Independent Spirit awards.. Gamechanger is thrilled to have The Invitation and Fresno premiering at SXSW.. Wendy began her career producing the Academy-award nominated documentary, The War Room, she subsequently produced Moon over Broadway with Carol Burnett, Eye of God with Martha Plimpton and Hotel Gramercy park which premiered at Tribeca Film festival. She most recently Executive Produced the feature Pariah.
