Max Bretos joined ESPN in January 2010 as an anchor, predominately appearing on SportsCenter as well as on College Football Live, MMA Live, Outside the Lines and college basketball wraps.   Bretos is also a premier voice for soccer on the ESPN networks. He has contributed to ESPN FC on TV and ESPN’s Major League Soccer coverage, including serving as lead anchor for MLS Cup. He also contributed to ESPN’s Euro 2012 coverage.   Before joining ESPN, Bretos worked for Fox Soccer Channel/Fox Sports World (1999-2010) where he was the voice of the first English language, 24-hour international sports channel. While at Fox he also worked for Sky Sports in the United Kingdom (2003-2006) as well as the WWE Company in 2007.   A native of Miami, Bretos is the son of Cuban exiles, and is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. He earned a degree in international relations from Florida State University in 1994.
