David Ervin is a consumer products general marketer who melds the experience of a Fortune 100 brand leader with the passion and resourcefulness of marketing and general innovation. After careers in both traditional CPG and Venture Capital, he has recognized that nurturing businesses to achieve rapid growth is his passion. David began his career focused on the consumer in consumer research at Kraft Foods managing both qualitative and quantitative approaches for Kraft Foods corporate initiatives. He then joined traditional brand management for 10 years and worked on both big brands - Kraft Macaroni and Cheese and Kraft salad dressing - and on entrepreneurial brands - Stove Top, Minute Rice, Kraft Pasta Salad, and Good Seasons. With a solid consumer understanding, marketing innovation, and proven general management skills, David continued his career in developing small business in a shirtsleeve environment within the Venture Capital world. He worked at DOM Capital where he identified investments in new consumer based opportunities in Food and Beverage. David has always had a passion for marketing, innovation, and the entrepreneurial spirit. Now, David is working to drive marketing innovation at Tyson Foods where he heads up Marketing Services responsible for all branding across all consumer touch points including packaging, consumer promotions, digital, TV, and print. David received both a B.S. in Communications and Economics and a M.S. in Marketing from Northwestern University. He is a father of three boys and therefore an avid coach (of many sports), teacher, and expert dodge ball player. David’s passion has always been food and he is a Culinary Trained cook and a culinary inspired eater.
