Becoming more attractive globally means working with international partners. The City of Oslo has made a "Creative cities alliance" with Hackney, London, and Austin, Texas. These places have a lot in common and we have identified a number of areas in which cooperation is fruitful for all.
Bringing startups and small businesses together, in particular within the culture and tech sectors, we have done events together in Hackney and Austin, and are working hard to keep and strengthen these partnerships. Last year letters of intent were signed at Hackney House during South by Southwest in Austin. This year the more formal working agreements are set to be signed at the Oslo Lounge during the same event in Austin.Welcome to the official signing of the Creative Cities Alliance agreement between the city of Austin and the city of Oslo.

Escape the chaos and find a taste of home at the ultimate un-networking event.
Meet new people and catch up with friends while enjoying kosher food, song and plenty of l’chaim! Everyone is welcome, bring your friends – no experience required!
FAQ
Do I have to be religious to come?
Nope! #openShabbat is open to anyone and everyone. No further knowledge or experience required.
What can/can’t I bring to the event?
Bring yourself, a friend, and be ready to have a good time!
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Nope!
If the event is free, why do I need to make a mandatory donation?
In order to make sure we order the right amount of food for everyone, we want to avoid people RSVPing with no plans to attend. If you’re not sure we get that, we just want to avoid people with no real interest whatsoever. A minimal donation helps us avoid this issue. We do suggest a donation of $36, to help cover additional costs for #openShabbat.

The teams from The North American Bitcoin Conference and yBitcoin Magazine are coming together to create a unique event in the world of Bitcoin. We are taking over the building of “Max’s Wine Dive” in Austin, Texas in the middle of South by Southwest and transforming it into the “House of Bitcoin”.
The aim of the house is to showcase cryto-currency to the tech industry and public at large at one of the single biggest events of its kind in the US. South by Southwest (SXSW) is a set of film, interactive, and music festivals and conferences that take place early each year in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States. It began in 1987, and has continued to grow in both scope and size every year.
In 2014, the conference lasted for 10 days with SXSW Interactive attracting 72,000 people.

For many years South by Southwest has been the go-to place for the music industry. Considering the large number of Norwegians in Austin we, Oslo Business Region in collaboration with Music Norway, welcome everyone to an informal meet and greet at the Oslo Lounge.
Join us for a beer and food after the conference, before you head off to the next party. And of course, bring your non-Norwegian partners and friends too.

About The Oslo Lounge
The Oslo Lounge is a pop-up co-working and event space, where people from the most innovative companies in the world meet to discuss and highlight businesses from the Oslo region. This time at SXSW 2015, on 607 Trinity Street (Upstairs on Trinity and Vinyl), just a few blocks away from the SXSW buzz. Take a break from the busy conference, catch up on e-mails and facilitate b2b meetings. We have reserved tables for meetings and of course free WiFi. Curious about what’s stirring in the North? Every afternoon we welcome you to join us for The Oslo Lounge events. The Oslo Lounge is open to everyone and managed by Oslo Business Region, in collaboration with local and international partners. We combine international profiling, place positioning and information with startup support services, talent and investment recruiting and regional business development.
