Getting Royalties from Streaming Music Services
According to Nielsen’s 2014 Q1 numbers, consumer usage of interactive music and video streaming services is growing – topping a total of 34.3 billion streams in just the first quarter of the year. At the same time, download sales are declining. Historically, the channels of royalty collection were few and significant. Today, royalty revenue consists of micro pennies across multiple sources and distributors. Learn what songwriters and publishers can do to make sure they are collecting royalties due to them and what they need to do to make sure they are not leaving any money on the table.
