The jukebox has been around for 100+ years. There was vinyl, compact discs, and now, we have touch-screen jukeboxes that glow like an overgrown cellphone in the corner of your favorite bar. Jukeboxes have historically sat right in the middle of all the best bar debates, eased the pain of the lonely, and started fires in the hearts of lovers. All this said..."same as it ever was"?? Not entirely. Jukeboxes are ever-changing machines tapped into popular culture every day, providing a nightly soundtrack to thousands, and teaching us about music consumers in various niche markets. Let's explore the possibilities of a digital jukebox network, and see how people interact with their favorite tunes in bars and clubs.
