How Visuals & Tech are Changing the Live Electronic Music Experience

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

"Visuals dictate the music I play“ - Anonymously stated by one of the biggest stars in EDM, this statement encapsulates the current state of electronic live performance. In the US, electronic music festivals are at an all-time high with just shy of 1m tickets sold to EDM-only festivals in 2014. It’s about a shared experience, the combined consumption of realtime audio and video - giant screens, giant drops, a giant miracle touching all senses. Music tech companies, festival organizers and artists discuss what comes first in the conception of live shows, music or visuals, and in which direction things are heading in the future.
