For an organization to be successful in the digital age, it must find the best talent and foster entrepreneurial growth, rather than hierarchical bureaucracy. While this delivers incredible value for a business, it also means that employees must have a new lens through which to view careers. Individuals starting their careers today now need a shorter runway to achieve more, and more quickly. In today’s digitized world, work matters—not tenure.
In this talk, we will discuss the factors that career-starters should look for in an organization (entrepreneurialism, culture, end products and no bureaucracy), how they can succeed in a merit-based organization and how organizations can foster meritocracy in the workplace through knowledge sharing, promotions and rewarding output.
