But can texting help us build a sense of empathy for others, even beyond our friends, family and colleagues? Dr. Sara Konrath, Assistant Professor at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, explores the development of new SMS tools designed to help build empathy in teens and the research behind them.
