Publishing Innovation: Next Century Reading

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Reading as we know it has not changed in more than 2,000 years. Book distribution has changed enormously, but the way we read has not evolved. At the same time new entertainment expectations have evolved that include Cable TV, YouTube, Social, Gaming, & Mobile. This has lead to a problem where both kids & adults reading rates are drastically decreasing.
So how does reading engage a new audience in this modern, multimedia & sensory world we live in today?
Reading is the only main-stream entertainment medium without synchronized sound - until now!
This panel will explore different ways to engage modern audiences around reading from adding synchronized movie-style soundtracks, sterilized writing, and near real time user feedback while writing.
