Can Common Food Goals Find Common Ground?

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

When you hear the words ‘GMO Transparency,' what comes to mind? Information? Labels? Accountability? The definition may vary but how we get there is through a simple goal – giving consumers the information they need to make informed decisions about the food they eat. With common goals should come common ground that benefits everyone in the food value chain, but are the differences in approach creating a divide that will prevent us from ever truly achieving that goal?
Let's discuss the challenges that have kept two of the biggest voices in the push for food transparency on opposite sides of the table for too long. Talk about what defines transparency, what’s widening the divide between those working for it, and the ways we can work together to achieving our common goal.
*This panel was proposed by GMO Answers. GMO Answers and Ben & Jerry’s collaborated on the format and choice of moderator, and have mutually agreed to have GMO Answers cover the cost of the moderator’s appearance.
