Becoming more attractive globally means working with international partners. The City of Oslo has made a "Creative cities alliance" with Hackney, London, and Austin, Texas. These places have a lot in common and we have identified a number of areas in which cooperation is fruitful for all.
Bringing startups and small businesses together, in particular within the culture and tech sectors, we have done events together in Hackney and Austin, and are working hard to keep and strengthen these partnerships. Last year letters of intent were signed at Hackney House during South by Southwest in Austin. This year the more formal working agreements are set to be signed at the Oslo Lounge during the same event in Austin.Welcome to the official signing of the Creative Cities Alliance agreement between the city of Austin and the city of Oslo.

About The Oslo Lounge
The Oslo Lounge is a pop-up co-working and event space, where people from the most innovative companies in the world meet to discuss and highlight businesses from the Oslo region. This time at SXSW 2015, on 607 Trinity Street (Upstairs on Trinity and Vinyl), just a few blocks away from the SXSW buzz. Take a break from the busy conference, catch up on e-mails and facilitate b2b meetings. We have reserved tables for meetings and of course free WiFi. Curious about what’s stirring in the North? Every afternoon we welcome you to join us for The Oslo Lounge events. The Oslo Lounge is open to everyone and managed by Oslo Business Region, in collaboration with local and international partners. We combine international profiling, place positioning and information with startup support services, talent and investment recruiting and regional business development.
