The Levites

In 2004, THE LEVITES made a major splash into the gospel music industry after being dubbed the "Best New Gospel Group of 2004", according to Dorinda Clark-Cole's Singers. After ten years, they've pushed the boundaries of even contemporary gospel music while declaring that theirs is anything but traditional. Their musical influences are many, but perhaps best described as a fusion of jazz, funk, contemporary Christian, soul, R&B, gospel, and even zydeco... yet somehow this 10-member band achieves improvised grooves while ministering the good news. They are fresh air into today's gospel industry. As such, they've appeared many times on the Word Network with Dr. Bobby Jones and have performed to crowds upwards of 90,000 simultaneously introducing them to the love of Jesus Christ. THE LEVITES have provided live background vocals and opened for many Contemporary Christian artists and Gospel greats like: Maurette Brown Clark, Kim Burrell, Marvin Sapp, James Fortune, Kirk Franklin, Myron Butler, Jonathan Nelson, DeWayne Woods, Mercy Me, David Crowder, Britt Nicole, Jeremy Camp, Salvador, Tye Tribbett, Kierra Sheard, J. Moss and many more. They released their first project “A Remnant of Levites” in 2006 and their sophomore album "Rescued" was released in December 2013. Their next project is scheduled for a Summer 2015 release. For more about The Levites visit, www.Levitelab.com
