Apanhador Só

With it’s latest album renowned in Brazil and abroad, Apanhador Só became one of the strongest representatives of the new Brazilian music. Nominated for  the Latin Grammy, "Antes que tu conte outra", the second and latest album of  this experimental rock trio, is one of the most often mentioned in “the best of “ lists in 2013 in Brazil, the origin country of the band’s members: Alexandre Kumpinski (voice and guitar), Felipe Zancanaro (voice, guitar, drums, mpc and scrap-percussion) and Fernão Agra Morsch (vocals, bass, keyboards, lyre, scrap-percussion)   Winner of the APCA Award (Art Critics Association of São Paulo) for best album and winner of the Açorianos Award for best pop album, "Antes que tu conte outra" earned the group a free pass by some of the most important stages in Brazil, such as the Lollapalooza festival. This album also won praise from international media such as El País (Spain), Blitz (Portugal) and The Guardian (England). The work of Apanhador só presents conventional instruments mixed with ones made of scrap objects, techniques of circuit bending and a politicized discourse. Cathartic and entertaining, the show has the backing musicians André Zinelli (drums, mpc and scrap-percussion) and Diego Poloni (guitar and keyboard).   With it’s debut on CD and as a free download in 2013, "Antes que tu conte outra" has been relaunched on LP format in 2014, through NOIZE Record Club, the first vinyl club in Latin America. The band began its activities in 2006 in the city of Porto Alegre, and won national impact in 2010 with their first full álbum "Apanhador só", also widely praised by the Brazilian press.
